In late July 2026, two separate accidents occurred in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. On 24 July, an overloaded car carrying ten occupants crashed on Avenida Felipe Wandscheer, killing two teenage passengers and seriously injuring the driver and several others. Brazilian naval authorities, the Polícia Civil, fire‑rescue services and ICMBio launched inquiries, and the excursion was suspended for three days.
