Frasers Group expansion in Southeast Asia
Overview
Frasers Hospitality and Frasers Property have undertaken several strategic developments and acquisitions in Southeast Asia.
In Singapore, Frasers Hospitality launched cultural programming in the Kampong Gelam district through Frasers House, featuring initiatives such as ‘The Curator’s Table’ and ‘The Maker’s Serambi’ to connect guests with local heritage. Additionally, Frasers Property acquired Cuppage Terrace, a collection of 17 conserved Peranakan-style shophouses in the Orchard Road district, for S$175 million. This acquisition aims to “unlock synergies across adjacent sites” near the company’s flagship asset, The Centrepoint.
In Malaysia, Frasers Hospitality expanded its presence with the soft opening of Fraser Residence Putrajaya within the TERRA integrated lakeside development. The 283-key residence provides various serviced apartment categories designed for both business and leisure travelers.
