French regional beauty pageant elections

Regional beauty pageants in France have begun selecting representatives for the upcoming Miss France 2027 competition.

Initial preparations involved various regional contests, including Miss Lorraine, where candidates from the Vosges department competed, and Miss Picardie, which featured fifteen contestants from the Oise, Somme, and Aisne departments. Other regional events included Mister France Roussillon and Mister Universel Nord-Pas-de-Calais.

Lina Berthelier, a 24-year-old business student from Commentry and former Miss Allier, was crowned Miss Auvergne 2026. The election took place on Friday, September 18, at the Opéra de Vichy before an audience of approximately 1,300 people. Berthelier, who succeeded Alice de Lima Guimaraes, received her crown from the reigning Miss France, Hinaupoko Devèze. During the ceremony, Berthelier expressed a desire to represent “a generation of determined, working women.”

Léane Froment was also elected Miss Lorraine 2026. Regional elections continue across France to determine the full roster of candidates for the Miss France 2027 national ceremony, which is scheduled to be broadcast live on TF1 on December 12, 2026.
