French rugby player disciplinary suspensions

Overview

Several players in the French Top 14 and Champions Cup have faced disciplinary sanctions following various infractions.

In late September, multiple players received four-week suspensions. Tomas Albornoz was sanctioned for intimidating a referee during an international match, while Marcos Kremer received a four-week ban for dangerous shoulder-to-head contact. Kremer’s sentence was reduced from a potential six or seven weeks due to his cooperation and remorse.

By late October, Stade Toulousain prop Rodrigue Neti was handed a three-match suspension following a red card for a high tackle during a Champions Cup match. Neti may be able to reduce the ban to two matches by completing a tackle education program, which would impact his eligibility for upcoming French international fixtures.
