In early August 2026, Le Monde examined the French YouTube channel LEGEND, founded by former radio host Guillaume Pley. The investigation highlighted the outlet’s focus on sensational true‑crime and pseudo‑scientific content, its heavy reliance on YouTube ad revenue and high‑value sponsorships, and raised questions about editorial standards. Around the same time, creator TPZ released a documentary alleging misconduct within LEGEND and its agency Influx; the film was taken down by YouTube within hours, prompting accusations of platform censorship.

A few days later, further reporting revealed that Legend had been valued at roughly €70 million after investment from the FG Bros group. Additional allegations surfaced, describing a toxic workplace marked by sexism, racism, intense pressure, and questionable interactions with under‑age fans. Former collaborators recounted humiliating management practices, while Pley denied the claims.
