FromSoftware delay of The Duskbloods

Overview

FromSoftware announced that its multiplayer action title, The Duskbloods, will be delayed from 2026 to 2027. The studio stated that while development has reached the final adjustment and polishing stages, additional time is required to refine game rules, balancing, and to complete the project.

The delay follows a network test in August 2026 that showed significant player interest in the game’s combat and strategic depth. Developers intend to use the extra time to implement feedback from these tests to enhance the multiplayer experience, specifically regarding player expression. The title is a PvPvE game supporting up to eight players.

While specific release dates within 2027 have not been confirmed, the delay means Nintendo will miss a major exclusive title for its 2026 holiday lineup. The game is intended as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.
