Gal Gadot on DC Studios and AI in film
Overview
Actress Gal Gadot has addressed her departure from the Wonder Woman role and the evolving use of artificial intelligence in film production.
Regarding her career, Gadot noted that while DC Studios leadership had previously indicated ‘Wonder Woman 3’ would be developed with her, she does not intend to return to the role of Diana Prince due to personal reasons and production schedules. She commented that the departures of other figures like Henry Cavill and Patty Jenkins were ‘not handled elegantly’.
In relation to the film ‘Bitcoin: Killing Satoshi’, Gadot detailed the use of AI to generate sets and lighting in post-production, a method producer Ryan Kavanaugh claims saved the production over $200 million. Gadot revealed that her legal team spent six months negotiating her contract to ensure that AI could not ‘interfere with or modify her performance’ or be used to replace her physical acting.
