Further celebrating the franchise, a new stage production titled ‘Yojohan no Daiuchu’ (The Great Universe of a Four-and-a-Half Mat Room) will run from March 31 to April 11, 2027, at Kinokuniya Hall in Tokyo. This production marks the 50th anniversary of the manga and is a collaboration with Kinokuniya to celebrate their 100th anniversary. The play is an original work blending the fantasy elements of the series with the real-life journey of Matsumoto as a manga artist.
