Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza has begun preparations for the 2026-2027 SuperLega season. The club officially introduced new Serbian spiker Nikola Brboric and physiotherapist Davide Gelmi during a presentation at the Sporting Club di Quarto. Brboric expressed a desire to grow as a player and win the championship. As the team enters its fourth week of preseason training, it has scheduled two open test matches at PalabancaSport to evaluate tactical mechanisms and physical condition. The first match is set for September 16 against EnergyTime Campobasso, followed by a match against Belluno Volley on September 19. Currently, ten first-team players are available for training, including Paolo Porro, Dragan Travica, Miguel Gutierrez, Manuel Zlatanov, Nikola Brboric, Alessandro Bovolenta, Henri Leon, Francesco Comparoni, Domenico Pace, and Francesco Rizzo, alongside youth sector players Luca Fraleone, Manuel Bozzetti, and Francesco Destro. Following the first test match against ~~Campobasso,~~ EnergyTime Campobasso on September 16, coach Dante Boninfante expressed satisfaction, describing the team’s current phase as ‘work in progress’. He highlighted the strong personality of the squad’s young players and noted that while new signings Zlatanov and Brboric are working effectively, they must continue building chemistry with the setters. Despite fluctuations in service consistency, Boninfante viewed the performance as a positive signal. The club is also moving forward with its commercial preparations, launching the third phase of its 2026-2027 season subscription campaign. Subscriptions provide access to all home matches at PalabancaSport, including the Regular Season, Playoffs, and CEV Volleyball Cup games. Physical membership cards will be available for pickup starting October 5. The team is scheduled to hold its second joint training session on September 19 against Belluno Volley. This match, which is open to the public with free admission, serves as a technical test for both squads ahead of their official league commitments.
