Gaston County residential shooting

Overview

A shooting at a residence on Forbes Road in Gaston County, North Carolina, resulted in two deaths and two critical injuries. Initial reports indicated that investigators believed the victims and the suspect were known to one another and did not consider the incident a random act.

Subsequent details identified the suspects as 29-year-old Cory Armstrong and 26-year-old Camryn Moore, who allegedly opened fire inside the home where all four victims resided. One survivor, 20-year-old Autumn Setola, reported to her boyfriend, ‘I’ve been shot by Cory,’ before emergency services were contacted. Setola and her stepbrother, Keaton, were transported to CaroMont Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
