Gastronomy celebrations in Jerez
Overview
Jerez is conducting various activities to promote its status as the Spanish Gastronomy Capital for 2026. Initial efforts include the third edition of the Premios Comunicación Experiencial de Alimentos y Bebidas, an awards ceremony designed to recognize food and drink communication campaigns and boost the city’s culinary brand. This period also sees local culinary expansion, such as the opening of a new Japanese-fusion restaurant.
Following these initiatives, the city will host a multidisciplinary art exhibition titled ‘Bebe, Come, Ama Jerez’ at the Claustros de Santo Domingo from September 1 to September 26. The exhibition features 45 contemporary creators using painting and photography to represent the culture of Jerez wines, connecting traditional viticulture with contemporary art as part of the Fiestas de la Vendimia.
