Geely has kept up its rapid rollout of high‑output plug‑in hybrids and new electric models in China. The Galaxy A7 sedan repeated its Guinness World Record, travelling 2,608.36 km across four provinces on a single charge‑plus‑fuel cycle using the Thor AI Hybrid 2.0 system. The Galaxy TT electric sedan set another Guinness record for lowest energy consumption (8.2 kWh/100 km) with its lightweight 16‑in‑1 Intelligent E‑Drive unit and 75.2 kWh “nano” battery.

In July 2026 the company unveiled the Galaxy Cruiser 700, a plug‑in hybrid all‑wheel‑drive SUV, at the Milan International Motor Show. The boxy SUV exceeds five metres in length, offers 233 mm of ground clearance, can wade through water up to 800 mm, and incorporates a lidar‑based autonomous driving system, over 50 accessory mounting points, and dual digital displays for the cabin. Geely plans to launch the model in the Italian market by the end of the year pending certification.

The Renault‑Geely joint venture continued development of a 2.0 L methanol‑fuelled range‑extender engine (D20) designed to reduce emissions while allowing smaller battery packs.
