In early August, the National Competition Defense Commission (ProCompetencia) committed to pursuing the ‘Sello Igualando RD’ certification. This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Women and the UNDP, aims to strengthen gender equality within state institutions and identify market barriers affecting women. The certification process focuses on gender-focused planning, capacity building, and creating supportive environments to improve market access for women-led enterprises.
By mid-August, the Superintendencia de Seguros (SIS) reported progress in its own institutional gender diagnosis. Officials noted improvements in the institutional climate and increased staff training regarding equity. The agency is working to foster an organizational culture based on equal opportunities and the strengthening of female leadership.
