Peter Sebastian Krause, Chairman of Südwestmetall, added that longer working hours should not be a ‘taboo’ if necessary to stabilize production sites. An EY study further underscores these challenges, noting declining revenues and margins for major players including Volkswagen, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz.
