German television entertainment programming

German television networks have been broadcasting a variety of entertainment programming throughout late August 2026.

Initial programming focused on comedy specials, including ProSieben’s ‘Comedy Allstars - Meilensteine des Humors’ and Sat. 1’s broadcast of Bülent Ceylan’s ‘Lassmalache’. By late August, offerings expanded to include genres such as war dramas like ‘Lauf Junge lauf’ on 3sat, mystery-horror films like ‘Sinister’ on Tele5, and animation such as ‘Heidi’ on KiKa.

Recent schedule updates include ProSieben moving the comedy format ‘TV total Stand-up Club’, hosted by Sebastian Pufpaff, to Saturday evenings. Beginning September 12, 2026, the program will follow ‘The Voice of Germany’ instead of its previous Tuesday slot. Viewership for the show has recently fluctuated between 0.40 and 0.45 million viewers.

Other network developments include the return of ARD’s telenovela ‘Sturm der Liebe’ from its summer break, featuring new plot developments for characters Adam, Werner, and Olivia. KiKA has also begun broadcasting the adventure series ‘Crazy Fun Park’ with availability via its media library. Meanwhile, Vox continues its docu-soap ‘Zwischen Tüll und Tränen’, with recent episodes focusing on brides searching for wedding dresses. Additionally, MDR continues to broadcast its health magazine ‘Visite’ and offers comedy segments through ‘Olafs Klub’ featuring comedian Olaf Schubert.
