Police deployed patrol cars, K‑9 units and a helicopter, and again indicated no immediate public threat.

A second attack at the same Lidl site occurred on 5 August 2026. A masked man in a gray jogging suit jumped in front of a Mercedes V‑Klass, injuring the driver with a fragment of the vehicle’s bodywork while three passengers escaped unharmed. A large‑scale search involving helicopters, police dogs and numerous patrol cars was launched. The investigation remained active; the search was later concluded, but police continue to request tips, note that no further threat to the public has been reported, and that the motive remains unknown.
