The defense has engaged in various legal maneuvers, including an application to the Supreme Court to invoke its supervisory jurisdiction and a request for a stay of proceedings. As the trial progresses, In a recent development, the Supreme Court of Ghana is set to rule on dismissed an application interlocutory injunction filed by Solomon Asamoah. Asamoah had sought to halt restrain the High Court proceedings via an interlocutory injunction. Asamoah is seeking from proceeding while he challenged a ruling that denied his ‘no case to quash answer’ submission. Justice Senyo Dzamefe ruled that the application did not disclose a serious case to be tried and noted that the issues were more appropriate for an appeal, finding that the High Court decision that rejected judge had not exceeded his ‘submission of no case’ and ordered him jurisdiction. Following this dismissal, the High Court has scheduled September 23 for the accused to begin his file their defense.
