The Minority is demanding the Ministry publish a full list of travelers, including names and passport numbers, to verify their return status.

Further allegations of excessive spending include a reported $10,000 payment to a purse holder and significant costs for chefs, caterers, and security. Additionally, the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has denied allegations that it collected money in exchange for visa opportunities. GTA CEO Maame Efua Houadjeto clarified that while the authority facilitated introductions for a cultural showcase during the tournament, it has no power to issue visas, and participants were required to cover their own travel and application fees.
