Ghanaian visa waiver agreements
Overview
Ghanaian passport holders have gained visa-free access to the Maldives, Zambia, and Antigua and Barbuda. This follows the ratification of visa waiver agreements announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on September 8, 2026.
The agreements apply to Ordinary, Service, and Diplomatic passport holders. Travelers to the Maldives and Zambia are permitted stays of up to 30 days, while those traveling to Antigua and Barbuda may stay for up to 90 days. The Ministry noted that travelers must still comply with specific immigration requirements and must obtain separate permits for work, study, or residency.
