Gioachino Rossini Conservatory developments in Pesaro

Overview

The Conservatorio Rossini in Pesaro has experienced recent institutional developments involving both financial support and leadership changes.

To maintain its doctoral research program in ‘Musical Performance and Interpretation,’ the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Pesaro provided funding to cover scholarships. This support follows a transition from PNRR funds to Ministry of University and Research (MUR) allocations, which had been insufficient to sustain the full three-year doctoral cycle.

Additionally, the conservatory underwent a change in leadership. Outgoing director Fabio Masini, who served two terms from 2020 to 2026, concluded his tenure. Andrea Turini has been appointed as the new director.
