Ancona is set to host As the Lamp of Peace by sea at Banchina San Francesco on September 21, 2026. Titled tour progresses, the lamp has reached several cities. In Ancona, the ceremony ‘Francesco e il mare dell’incontro’, dell’incontro’ took place at Banchina San Francesco. During the event involves local event, Mayor Daniele Silvetti advocated for authentic integration in schools, associations, and institutions, aligning with Ancona’s designation as emphasizing social harmony. In Modena, Mayor Massimo Mezzetti welcomed the Italian Capital of Culture lamp alongside students, citing Nelson Mandela’s reconciliation efforts as a model for 2028. The movement is also supported non-violence.
