Global expansion of AI in education and training

Overview

Efforts to integrate artificial intelligence into education and professional training are expanding globally through corporate initiatives and academic discourse.

In France, academic discussions at the University of Caen Normandy have focused on the impact of AI on the workforce, emphasizing the need to combine technical proficiency with human critical thinking. Simultaneously, Google has introduced free courses to assist individuals in acquiring machine learning and AI skills for career transitions.

This educational push has extended into India and the Philippines through Google’s AI Educator Series. In India, the program has trained over 80,000 educators through partnerships with government ministries and is launching a curriculum aligned with the National Education Policy 2020. In the Philippines, collaborations with various educational authorities aim to provide teachers with generative AI tools to automate administrative tasks and enhance interactive learning experiences.
