Overview

Reports of animal cruelty and neglect have emerged across multiple countries, involving both illegal breeding operations and the mismanagement of rescue organizations.

In Kenya, authorities and the Kenya Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals rescued ten animals from an illegal breeding operation where puppies were found in bird cages without food or water. In the United Kingdom, a man was sentenced to a suspended one-year prison term and a lifetime ban on keeping animals after two dogs were found neglected, resulting in the death of one animal.
