Overview
Streaming platforms are launching various promotional campaigns to celebrate and promote South Korean dramas (K-dramas) globally.
In Japan, IMXC announced that its ‘Korean Drama & Entertainment Channel K’ (Channel K) on Prime Video will offer the opening episodes of 30 selected dramas for free from September 9 to September 30, 2026. The campaign also includes a discounted subscription rate of 99 yen per month for the first two months for new and returning users.
In Brazil, Netflix has introduced ‘Dramalândia’ to commemorate ten years of K-dramas in the South American market, featuring regional musical artists and a contest for an all-expenses-paid trip to South Korea. Concurrently, Rakuten Viki is hosting its fourth annual ‘K-Drama Day’ from September 25 to October 1, providing free access to ten titles and a fan-led voting system to feature winning series on digital billboards worldwide.
