Godzilla -0.0 promotional campaigns in Japan
Overview
Various promotional events and collaborations are underway across Japan to support the upcoming film ‘Godzilla -0.0’, which is scheduled for release on November 3, 2026.
In Kitakyushu, the Riverwalk Kitakyushu complex is hosting a campaign featuring a large-scale statue exhibition and a poster exhibition showcasing 31 films from the franchise. Additionally, Godzilla Stores nationwide are conducting a ‘Chibi Godzilla Stamp Collection’ and a promotional campaign offering prizes such as posters signed by voice actors.
In Nagoya, JR Central has announced a collaboration between the dessert Piyorin and the new film. This includes the release of a ‘Piyorin Godzilla’ dessert featuring black chocolate bavarois and chocolate fins, alongside themed merchandise such as plushies and stationery. The campaign also incorporates a digital stamp rally via a mobile app.
Director, screenwriter, and VFX supervisor Takashi Yamazaki is preparing the film, which follows the Academy Award-winning ‘Godzilla -1.0’. Set two years after the previous movie in a war-scarred Japan, the film aims to explore the fundamental nature of Godzilla through intense spectacle.
New promotional activities include a special menu at Shabu-Yo featuring ‘Despair Black Chige’ broth and Godzilla-themed dumplings, as well as ‘Godzilla Fest 2026’ at TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY, which will feature a stage appearance by Yamazaki.
