In late July 2026, two mining companies reported promising gold intercepts that reinforced the potential of their projects. Awalé announced a 7‑metre, 7.04 g/t gold intercept with copper and molybdenum at its Odienné (Côte d’Ivoire) BBM target, while Freegold Ventures disclosed a 176.8‑metre, 1.48 g/t gold intercept at the Golden Summit project in Alaska, both results bolstering upcoming feasibility work.

A week later, Falcon Metals and Dalaroo Metals moved from results to active field work. Falcon secured regulatory clearance for a 3,500‑metre reverse‑circulation drill campaign at the Olsen Well target of the Errabiddy Gold Project in Western Australia, supported by government co‑funding. Dalaroo Metals launched a 20,000‑metre maiden drilling campaign on its Gold Ridge prospect in Côte d’Ivoire, beginning with a 10,000‑metre RC phase on the Wilfred target and planning a subsequent diamond‑drilling phase. Together, these announcements illustrate a rapid escalation from exploratory successes to large‑scale drilling across multiple jurisdictions.
