Google Ads reporting feature updates

Google Ads has introduced new reporting capabilities to enhance advertiser visibility and measurement.

In early August, the platform launched a dedicated new-customer acquisition reporting feature. This update allows advertisers to track ‘New customers’ and ‘New customer value’ through specific columns, replacing previous manual workarounds involving bid adjustments. This change aims to provide clearer data on acquisition efficiency without affecting bidding algorithms.

By late August, Google began beta testing a new Product titles report. This feature provides visibility into AI-generated content used for Shopping ads. When Google AI determines an automated title is more relevant to users than the advertiser’s original, it can serve the AI-created version. The new report allows advertisers to compare performance metrics—such as impressions, clicks, and cost-per-click—between original and AI-generated titles. To maintain brand consistency, advertisers can also provide text guidelines to guide the AI in creating on-brand ad copy.
