Google is expanding the availability of Motion Assist to include Samsung Galaxy devices running Android 17, specifically the Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 and Flip 8 models running One UI 9. The feature is being distributed through Google Play services version 26.37. Users can access the tool through Settings under ‘Google services’ and ‘Personal & device safety’, or by adding a Quick Settings tile for manual control. The feature allows for customization of visual elements, including color, opacity, and specific shapes such as circles, squares, pentagons, or diamonds.
