Greek bank bond issuances

Overview

Greek banks have successfully executed significant bond issuances to attract international institutional interest.

Piraeus Bank priced a €500 million Senior Preferred Bond that saw an oversubscription of more than five times the target, with total orders exceeding €2.5 billion. The issuance, which features a 4.00% fixed annual coupon, was heavily allocated to global investors, with 85% of the issuance going to international parties.

Following this, Eurobank completed the pricing of €600 million in Green Senior Preferred bonds maturing in 2033. This issuance was approximately 2.5 times oversubscribed, with orders reaching nearly €1.4 billion. The proceeds are designated to finance or refinance eligible green investments under the bank’s Green Bond Framework 2026.
