The reforms also allow sellers to participate in both morning and afternoon markets on the same day and permit municipalities to organize markets exclusively for direct agricultural sales. To address seasonal demand, up to 10% of market stalls can be allocated to producers for up to six months through a simplified application process or an electronic lottery system if necessary. In the Attica Region, efforts the Attica Street Markets Operation Body and the Panhellenic Federation of Agricultural Product Producer Associations have announced a strategic plan to support these markets include upgrade operations. This includes a €1 million advertising campaign scheduled for presentation on November 12, intended to promote local street markets. enhance market image and increase visitor numbers. Authorities are also addressing operational hurdles, such as illegal vehicle parking that obstructs market setups. Proposed solutions include installing warning signs, collaborating with Traffic Police, and potentially using crane services to remove obstructing vehicles, with costs to be covered by fines. Additional improvements under discussion include road signage and regulated morning arrival schedules.
