The HEDNO rolling maintenance programme continues to cause scheduled electricity cuts across Greece to facilitate network reinforcement and upgrades. In late August, HEDNO announced further planned outages affecting multiple regions, including parts of Attica, Crete, Phthiotis, Trikala, and Imathia. In early September, HEDNO announced additional outages for Crete, including the entire municipality of Platanias and the Gerani area on 6 September. In the Pieria region, the Municipality of Dion-Olympus, specifically the Municipal Community of Dion and western Karitsa, faced scheduled interruptions on 7 and 10 September. Scheduled outages for 8 September included various areas in Crete—specifically the Heraklion-Moires road, Stavrakia, and parts of Kissamos and Platania—as well as the Exochi community and parts of Chalkidona in Thessaloniki. In Phthiotis, technical works affecting Lamia, Lokroi, and Kamena Vourla were scheduled from 8 to 12 September. On 10 September, utility disruptions expanded in the Attica region. EYDAP announced water supply interruptions across various areas of Attica to facilitate network repairs and upgrades. Simultaneously, DEDDIE scheduled power outages in several municipalities, including Ano Liosion, Glyfada, Athens, and Kallithea, due to construction works and operational requirements. On 16 September, HEDNO announced further scheduled power outages for Crete and Attica. In Crete, interruptions were planned for the Heraklion and Chania prefectures, specifically affecting the Municipality of Faistos (Skourvoula), the Municipality of Heraklion (Chersonisos), and parts of the Municipality of Chania and Kantanos-Selino. In Attica, planned interruptions were set for parts of the Alimos municipality, including intersections such as Leivaditi Tasou, Eptanisou, and Maizonos. On 18 September, HEDNO announced additional scheduled outages for Attica, including parts of Ilioupoli, Glyfada, Athens, and Dafni. These measures are intended to ensure long-term grid reliability through tasks such as replacing worn equipment, cleaning overhead lines, and vegetation management.
