Overview
In July 2026, the Diputación de Guadalajara and the Fundación General of the University of Alcalá signed a cooperation agreement to establish a Center of Innovation and Development Technological (CITE). The provincial government committed €260,000 toward the project, which is scheduled for implementation by 2026.
The multicampus hub aims to drive innovation, transfer university knowledge to local industry, and attract investment to address rural depopulation. Key focus areas include advanced logistics, agro-food, bioeconomy, health, biotechnology, and energy.
