The series of personnel changes within the Italian Guardia di Finanza continued through late August and early September 2026. Following the appointment of Major Fabiana Cretì to the Rimini Group on 28 August, leadership transitions were announced in several provinces. In Lecce, Colonel Ortensia Fedeli assumed command of the Lecce Provincial Command, while Lieutenant Colonel Carlo Scupola succeeded her as commander of the Economic-Financial Police Nucleus. In Arezzo, Colonel Daniela Parisi was appointed Provincial Commander, replacing Colonel Walter Mazzei. In Parma, Colonel Aniello De Vita was named the new Provincial Commander, succeeding Brigadier General Gianluca Angelini. New appointments were also announced for Bari and Milazzo. In Bari, Brigadier General Gianluca Angelini succeeded Brigadier General Pasquale Russo, who transitioned to the role of Regional Commander for the Marche region. In Milazzo, Giuseppe Franza succeeded Commander Roberto Catalano. On 8 September, Brigadier General Alessandro Langella assumed command of the Provincial Command in Palermo, succeeding Brigadier General Domenico Napolitano. Napolitano is transitioning to a new role as the Commander of the Central Service for Investigations into Organized Crime in Rome. In Crotone, Colonel Paolo Benedetto Toma has assumed command of the provincial unit, succeeding Colonel Pierfrancesco Bertini, who moved to lead the provincial command in Macerata. Toma’s arrival coincides with broader security efforts, including the appointment of Colonel Dario Pini as the provincial commander of the Carabinieri. On 15 September, enforcement efforts in Crotone intensified under the ‘Focus ’Ndrangheta’ national and transnational plan. On 21 September, a command change occurred at the Bari Naval Station, where Major Nicola Amoroso succeeded Lieutenant Colonel Davide D'Aponte.
