Gusttavo Lima Barretos Rodeo ambassadorship

Sertanejo singer Gusttavo Lima returned to the Festa do Peão de Barretos in August 2026, serving as the event’s ambassador after a three-year absence. Prior to the event, it was announced that Lima would reside in a motorhome near the rodeo grounds for comfort and proximity to his scheduled performances.

During his performance on August 22, Lima reaffirmed his role as ‘Embaixador’ (Ambassador) and announced that his performance fees would be donated to the Hospital de Amor, specifically supporting the Complexo Oncológico de Referência do Estado de Goiás (CORA). While performing, Lima addressed the audience with messages regarding faith and family, choosing to ignore political chants directed at President Lula. Additionally, singer Ana Castela, the 2025 ambassador, denied rumors of professional rivalry following Lima’s appointment, expressing admiration for the artist.

The 71st edition of the festival also featured DJ Alok, who returned to the event after a three-year absence. Alok’s high-tech performance blended electronic music with sertanejo remixes and included a drone display. The drones formed the image of a hummingbird and the face of the late singer Marília Mendonça as a tribute, honoring Mendonça, who was intended to be the festival's ambassador before her death in 2021. Alok’s set included guest appearances by artists such as Ana Castela and Zeeba.
