Hanoi authorities have implemented several traffic management measures to accommodate various infrastructure projects in the city. In August 2026, the Hanoi Department of Construction announced adjustments to Nghi Tam Road to facilitate the construction of the Tu Lien Bridge and its connecting approach roads. In September 2026, temporary adjustments were announced for Thang Long Boulevard near the Dan Hoai Bridge for expansion joint repairs and resurfacing, scheduled to last 45 days through October 19. Additionally, the construction of a vehicle load control weighing station north of Thang Long Bridge involves phase two restrictions from September 15 to November 10. During this period, trucks weighing 2 tons or more and passenger vehicles with 16 or more seats (excluding buses) are prohibited from crossing the bridge daily from 05:00 to 24:00. However, as of October 9, restrictions were modified to 05:00–22:00, and bus services were also prohibited during peak hours, with routes redirected via Nhat Tan Bridge. New infrastructure works announced for October 2026 include the expansion of O Cho Dua Street, which will feature three lanes in each direction starting October 9. Repairs to the spans, bearings, and pillars of Thanh Tri Bridge are scheduled from October 1 through December 25, with work occurring primarily at night between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM. Furthermore, a traffic diversion plan for the La Thanh - Nguyen Chi Thanh intersection is effective from October 24 to November 25 to support the construction of an overpass for the Ring Road 1 project. In the Soc Son district, traffic on Road 131 will be adjusted for drainage system repairs through November 20. These works will utilize a rolling method with mobile barriers to narrow the drivable road width to 5.5 meters during nightly construction from 22:00.
