In late August, authorities announced the upcoming trial of the ‘Hanoi Smart Police’ application, scheduled to begin on September 2. By early September, the department expanded its technological deployment to include three primary solutions: a production line for wireless fire alarm equipment, the pilot of the ‘Smart Hanoi Police’ application, and a second phase of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) solutions for surveillance. Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of Hanoi Public Security, described these digital advancements as a strategic breakthrough intended to build a professional force where citizen safety and satisfaction are the primary measures of success.
