Overview

Hanwha Aerospace has expanded its international defense footprint through technological advancements and new procurement contracts. At the 5th K9 User Club in Estonia, the company unveiled evolution concepts for the K9 Self-Propelled Howitzer, including drone-integrated fire guidance and new wheeled designs. Building on this momentum, Croatia signed a contract with Hanwha Aerospace to acquire 18 K239 Chunmoo self-propelled rocket systems and related equipment. Valued at approximately 435.2 million euros, the deal aims to modernize the Croatian military by replacing older systems with long-range capabilities. Croatian officials described the acquisition as a “strike force” for the nation, with deliveries expected to be completed by 2029.
