HC Fribourg-Gottéron championship aftermath

Overview

Following their first historic championship, HC Fribourg-Gottéron has transitioned into a period of celebration and long-term planning. Head coach Roger Rönnberg indicated a focus on maintaining excellence and long-term success rather than dwelling on the recent title.

Club leadership emphasized consolidating the team’s foundation, while sporting director Gerd Zenhäusern noted the challenges of a shortened offseason. The club subsequently held a ceremony to celebrate the title by raising an official championship banner to the arena rafters, featuring former captain Julien Sprunger.
