Overview

The Ho Chi Minh City Police Economic Crime Investigation Division is investigating Holidays Vietnam Co., Ltd. for a fraudulent scheme involving “vacation contracts.” The company allegedly used seminars, luxury hotel showcases, and a mobile application to attract customers by promising high profitability through investments in tourism, resort services, and healthcare.

Investigators report that when customers attempted to recover capital or transfer contracts, employees used deceptive tactics, such as posing as co-investors or claiming interest from foreign partners, to prevent them from leaving or to solicit more money. On June 17, authorities officially initiated a criminal case for “fraudulent appropriation of assets” and indicted 12 suspects.
