Horror film and series release schedule

The horror genre is seeing various releases across film and streaming platforms. In late July, it was announced that the television series ‘Scream’ would become available for free streaming on Tubi starting August 1, and that the film ‘Insidious: Out of the Further’ was scheduled for an August 21 release.

By mid-August, the landscape of horror releases expanded to include several new titles in cinemas and on video-on-demand (VOD) services. Notable upcoming theatrical releases include ‘Insidious: Out of the Further’ and ‘Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma’, while ‘The End of Oak Street’ is expected to lead the box office. Digital releases include ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2’ on Sky/Now, the Shudder exclusive ‘Hellcat’, and various other titles such as ‘Feed’, ‘The Boy From Below’, and ‘Harbinger’.

As of August 21, the theatrical lineup has expanded to include several international titles. In Turkey, the horror film ‘Gerçek Kayıtlar: Vaka 7’, directed by Burak Küçük and centered on a neuro-criminology expert, is scheduled for release. Additionally, ‘Tempus’, a story set in Gaziantep involving a professor seeking a cosmic gateway, is part of the new selection of films available in cinemas.

Following its release, details regarding ‘Insidious: Out of the Further’ (known in some regions as ‘La Noche del Demonio: Están entre nosotros’) have emerged. Directed by Jacob Chase, the film expands the franchise mythology by exploring the spiritual realm of ‘The Further’. The plot follows Gemma, a dentist and mother played by Amelia Eve, who discovers she has the supernatural ability to pull entities from ‘The Further’ into the real world, making her a target for demonic forces and a former cult leader.
