Human trafficking prosecution in Edmonton

In Edmonton, two men, Kevin Dorcleus-Cetoute, 33, and Jean Rodnil Dubois, 32, have pleaded not guilty to human trafficking charges. The investigation began in May 2023 following a 911 call regarding a violent assault. While the accused originally faced nearly 20 offences, including assault and money laundering, they are currently facing three combined charges of human trafficking. The Crown prosecution has indicated it intends to withdraw additional charges if a guilty verdict is reached.
