Hyderabad medical student death investigation

Overview

A murder investigation was launched in Hyderabad following the discovery of 27-year-old postgraduate medical student Komati Srijana in a Miyapur service apartment. The victim was found in an advanced state of decomposition.

Police are searching for a male friend of the victim who reportedly checked out of the hotel on October 1. The victim’s father filed a complaint suggesting she had traveled to the city to resolve a dispute involving a gold chain. While no obvious external injuries were noted during preliminary examinations, a post-mortem examination at Gandhi Hospital is being conducted to determine the cause of death. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage to trace the missing individual.
