Hyundai educational initiatives in Indonesia
Overview
PT Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (HMMI) and PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) have implemented various educational and youth development initiatives in Indonesia.
In September 2026, HMMI launched the fourth generation of its Hyundai Academy Center (HAC) program in Bekasi, West Java. This vocational training initiative provides three months of intensive instruction to students from six vocational high schools, covering conventional engine technology, electrical systems, and battery electric vehicles (BEV). To support this, HMMI donated nine training vehicles to provincial vocational schools and provided specialized training for educators.
By October 2026, the Hyundai JUMP School Indonesia program entered its third year, expanding its educational mentoring reach to Surabaya through a new partnership with Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). This expansion follows previous collaborations with Universitas Indonesia and Institut Teknologi Bandung, aiming to empower students and local communities through mentoring and educational activities.
