Hyundai Motor Group mobility technology initiatives

Hyundai Motor Group is pursuing various initiatives focused on mobility technology and safety. In South Korea, the company partnered with KT, Kids Note, and MTR to develop a “Safe Boarding and Alighting Solution” for school vehicles. This project utilizes the Staria EV to implement digital safety measures, such as detecting children left in vehicles and providing real-time monitoring via Ultra Wide Band and Bluetooth Low Energy technologies.

Simultaneously, the group is expanding its educational outreach through the ‘Future Mobility School’ (FMS) program. Following implementations in ASEAN countries, the program has debuted in Europe with a new cooperation agreement in France. Signed at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Paris with the Korean Education Center in France, this initiative provides adolescents with hands-on experience in electrification, hydrogen energy, and autonomous driving.

To leverage interest in K-culture, the curriculum uniquely integrates Korean language learning with mobility technology education, marking the first time Korean language teaching materials will be used in the program’s international school deployments. Since its inception in 2016, the FMS program has reached approximately 110,000 students across 2,700 schools globally.
