IAPV social housing distribution in Argentina

Overview

The Instituto Autárquico de Planeamiento y Vivienda (IAPV) has implemented various methods to distribute social housing in the Entre Ríos province of Argentina.

In San José de Feliciano, the IAPV utilized an economic bidding process for 13 of 22 newly constructed homes. This model required participants to submit offers of at least 10 percent of the property value, with 21 offers totaling over 259 million pesos received. Any units not awarded through this bidding system were designated for distribution via a traditional lottery.

Following these efforts, the ‘Ahora Tu Hogar’ program conducted housing lotteries in both Gualeguaychú and San José de Feliciano. In Gualeguaychú, the lottery awarded 14 primary holders and eight alternates, including three homes for people with disabilities. In San José de Feliciano, the lottery selected seven primary holders and five alternates, including two homes reserved for the disability quota.
