The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has announced several recruitment opportunities for Young Professional II (YP-II) positions across its various institutes.

In late August, the ICAR – Central Institute of Fisheries Education (ICAR-CIFE) in Mumbai opened applications for a contractual role to support its NABL Cell. The position, offering a monthly salary of ₹42,000, requires candidates with Master’s degrees in specialized fields such as aquaculture, biotechnology, or microbiology.

By mid-September, additional YP-II vacancies were announced at other institutions. The ICAR – Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture (CIBA) in Chennai sought a candidate for a 24-month project focused on automated bio-floc and recycling systems for crustacean farming. Simultaneously, the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) announced a vacancy for a professional with a background in computer science, artificial intelligence, or information technology. Both new roles also offer a monthly salary of ₹42,000.
