To celebrate, more than 1,800 participating locations—including AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas, Krystal, and Walmart Fuel—will offer free small ICEE drinks with no purchase necessary while supplies last. Some venues, such as Six Flags and Universal Studios, are not participating in this initial event. Additionally, the brand is hosting social media contests where fans can compete for prizes like an at-home ICEE machine. On the day of the event, specific participation details emerged: moviegoers at AMC Theatres or Regal Cinemas can obtain a free small ICEE with a ticket purchase, while guests at Urban Air Adventure Park may receive one with paid admission. Other participating venues include Chuck E. Cheese Adventure World, Santikos Entertainment, and Adventureland Theme Park. Dan Fachner, president and CEO of J&J Snack Foods, stated that the new annual tradition is a way to thank fans for making the brand part of their memories. The celebration also includes a social media giveaway where participants can enter to win prizes, such as an at-home ICEE machine, by sharing photos using the hashtag #NID2026.
