IF Elfsborg football club activities

IF Elfsborg began its 2026/27 Svenska Cupen qualification process with a match against Västra Frölunda. Player Ossian Nordvall stated the club aims to go “as far as possible” in the tournament.

Following the cup qualification period, the club released an updated match schedule covering multiple divisions. This includes an Allsvenskan fixture against Kalmar FF at Borås Arena, as well as various youth, women’s, and playoff matches for the P17, P19, F17, F19, and Elitettan squads.

During an Allsvenskan match against Brommapojkarna, newcomer Viggo Elfström experienced a difficult debut. After entering the game as a substitute for the injured Rasmus Wikström with four minutes remaining, the 19-year-old scored an own goal in the second minute of stoppage time, deciding the match. Despite the result, coach Björn Hamberg expressed support for the player, noting that Elfström is intended for both the “short and long term” and that the decision to provide him with playing time remains unchanged.

The club maintains a busy schedule for week 37, involving the senior men’s Allsvenskan side, the women’s Elitettan team, and various age groups including P17, P19, and F19.
