Independiente Santa Fe roster management

Overview

Independiente Santa Fe is navigating roster challenges involving player injuries and contract negotiations. The club is working to facilitate the return of winger Omar Fernández Frasica, who has been sidelined by Achilles tendinopathy.

In terms of recruitment, management is developing a strategy to retain Argentine forward Nahuel Bustos. To avoid losing the player when his loan from Talleres de Córdoba expires, President Luis Eduardo Méndez is exploring a loan extension with an increased fee and a potential purchase option for late 2027, rather than an immediate permanent transfer estimated at approximately $1.3 million.
