In late July 2026 the Indian government ~~launched new programmes~~ continued to broaden farm ~~incomes. Independent evaluations consistently report that roughly 85 % of recipients have reduced reliance on informal credit and about 92 % have used the cash for seeds, fertilizer, machinery and other inputs, reinforcing farm productivity and rural financial stability.
